  3. Ship's Condition and Inventory

    • Inventory of Hazardous Materials (IHM): A mandatory document (under the Hong Kong Convention and EU Ship Recycling Regulation) listing hazardous substances on board, such as asbestos and PCBs.
    • Class Certificates: Confirm the vessel’s class status and overall condition, if available.
    • Last Port Clearance: Documentation from the last port of call verifying no outstanding dues or issues.
  4. Insurance Documents

    • P&I Insurance Certificate: Proof of protection and indemnity coverage (if still valid).
